rhinestone eyes
current mood is college and all that
current contemplation: eyebrow piercing.
current obsessions: co-star, crochet, and this one song
I've been consuming much more classic media since arriving at college, from movies such as fight club and saw to recently reading my immortal. feeling worldly.
I've been saying that the past few weeks I've been in something that I will soon snap out of, and I think that time has come. I am becoming "myself" again. the most obvious sign was that I have resumed picking and poking at my skin at every opportunity. this is a bad habit I have, but it can be stopped sometimes when I am so distracted that I don't think of it. for the past month or so, I have been moving nonstop. always surrounded by other people. I'm the happiest I've been in years, but this is in part because I am sacrificing my needs. I think it's starting to catch up with me.
it's crazy to realize how much college has become my home. for the first month or so, there was always a nagging feeling that maybe I shouldn't be here, I should just go back to my normal life. it can be nice to adapt sometimes.
something that I have noticeably been lacking in my life is dance class. of course I'm taking my twice weekly class, but half of the time we're not even dancing. for the past eight or so years, I've gotten used to being at the dance studio for hours each week. I think that void in my life has really affected me. I'm planning to take two dance classes next semester, hip hop and swing, in hopes to use movement to combat seasonal depression.
two year blogiversary is rapidly approaching. psyched about that I suppose. see you next time dear blog :3
